연구 내용
우리 연구실에서는 대식세포, 중성백혈구, 그리고 다양한 질환 동물모델 및 환자 샘플을 이용하여 염증을 유발하는 물질 (DAMPs)을 동정하고 그 기능을 규명함으로써 류마티스 관절염이나 강직성 척추염과 같은 염증성 자가면역질환의 발병 메커니즘을 이해하고 이들 질환의 진단과 치료에 기여하고자 한다. 우리 연구실에서는 다음과 같은 다양한 기초 및 중개 연구를 수행하고 있다. 1) 류마티스 관절염과 강직성 척추염의 염증유발 물질 규명, 2) 대식세포에서 염증반응 조절 신규 단백질 발굴, 3) 다양한 자가면역 질환의 새로운 바이오마커 발굴, 4) 죽상동맥경화에 기여하는 염증 유발 물질 규명, 5) 전신경화증 치료제 후보물질 발굴, 6) 염증과 종양 유발에 있어 ubiquitin-like modifier의 역할 규명.
